Schusev Museum of Architecture


 

 




 

The Schusev State Museum of Architecture is the first museum in the world which specialized in architecture. It was founded through an initiative of the Union of Soviet Architects in 1934. Its collections reflect thousand years of Russian architecture. The Schusev Museum in Moscow is located in the very centre of the town, within a 5 minutes walk to the Red Square. The neighboring building is the famous Lenin Library, the Manege is located across the road, and the heart of Russia, the Kremlin is right behind it. 
The direction of the Museum's work today include an arrangement of architectural contests and conferences, assisting by the restoration of architectural monuments, presenting outstanding Russian architects as well as cooperation’s with foreign organisations in order to host quality international Architecture Exhibitions.


Public Architecture - Future For Europe
The European Cultural Centre - Russia is organising a large architecture exhibition in the Schusev State Museum of Architecture in Moscow. This 3 months long exhibition, "Future For Europe -  Public Architecture" will run from 30 January  until 23 August 2020 and is created in cooperation with the ECC-Italy, which also organizes the large Biennial Architecture Exhibition in Venice.
