ECC-ACADEMY

The aim of the European Cultural Academy is to enhance knowledge and advance your career in Art, Architecture and other creative industries. For more than a decade we have helped creative communities to increase visibility, build connections and make a lasting impact on their careers. In our courses, we share our insights as organisers of international exhibitions and Biennale Pavilions, Performance Art Week, Design Prize and Architecture Awards as a well as symposia, conferences and residencies. Our faculty includes artists, designers, curators, gallerists, architects and scholars that will help you to build necessary skills and enable you to navigate through an opaque and very competitive industry.

Our approach

The Academy was created with the wish to unite creative communities, increase visibility, build connections and make a lasting impact on participants career. The following organizations trusted us with their collaborations: British Council, Guangzhou Design Week, Archifocus, University of Melbourne, TEDx and many more. The Academy is also official part of the Biennale Sessions. The Academy is happy to announce its Summer Schools in Art and Architecture held during the Venice Biennale 2019. These international programmes take place in Venice, perhaps the greatest art and urban environment that the world has ever seen.

• ART FOR SCHOOL TEACHERS. TEACHING AND LEARNING THROUGH ART

This engaging interactive course is developed for school staff and teachers. This engaging interactive course gives teachers the opportunity to develop competences in an international environment, boost academic achievements as well as promote self-confidence and creativity among students.

ARCHITECTURE COURSES

• EXHIBITING ARCHITECTURE - CURATION, PRESERVATION AND MASS TOURISM

The four intensive studios asks students to interpret the historical city and the socio-cultural pressures shaping it today by proposing architectural interventions that serve Mass Tourism, Preservation and Curatorial Culture. Students will have the opportunity to witness, appraise, examine, unfold and project explicit or tangential relationships existing between Venice's architecture and urbanism and its pervading 'cultural tourism'. Students should expect to conduct field research at relevant historical sites, museums, archives and the Venice Biennale.
